I was raised in a military family with a Marine father (oorah!) and a creative spirit mom. My father taught us the importance of a good work ethic while my mother taught us to dream and follow our heart. As a result, I’m kind of a First Sergeant hippy. While I love painting and getting messy, I equally love organizing processes, managing projects, and diving into the nitty gritty details of getting from here to there.
In February of 2017, I said goodbye to my full time day job. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made in life so far. I was the main breadwinner of our family of five and I had worked my way up from being a broke single mom to buying a house, growing a family, and working for incredible people that have shaped who I am today. I chose to leave the safety net I desperately needed 10 years prior to say YES to my dream of working with creative businesses. You better bet I was scared (still am sometimes!), but you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing. I have never been happier. I LOVE my job. I get to help other dream believing creatives grow their businesses while nurturing my young family.
I’ve had the honor and privilege to work with numerous companies, small businesses, websites, and individuals including: Market Your Creativity, Paper Berry Press, Celinne Da Costa, Bova Creative, American Systems, Applied Research Associates, and more.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned since leaving my day job last year was that you can’t do it alone. You can’t work in the dark. You have to reach out and connect to your tribe to thrive. I have been blessed with an amazing support group of like minded creative entrepreneurs who get me and encourage me every step of the way. They have faith in me when I don’t. They see the bigger picture outside of my insecurity. I’d like to extend a hand out and offer that to you as well.
You don’t have to do it alone. You have important meaningful work that needs to get done. It’s ok to bring someone along on your journey to help you be more productive, to encourage you, and to keep you accountable to your dreams and goals in life and business. I want to be that person for you.
